Eastern Ridge Adventures is THE place to hunt Black Bear in the US! Located near
Machias, Maine and run by Josh Rhodes, I call it "the best run outfit in the
Northeast." The meals are fantastic and the lodging consisted of beautiful summer
cottages on the lake. The key to a successful hunt is the right guide. Ours, Terry,
was a real pro and worked multiple sites tirelessly to ensure our best chance of
success. Josh runs a well organized outfit from sighting in your weapon, to well
executed bait sites, to great food and lodging, and even tracking a wounded bear
through the swamp for miles until well after midnight! I highly recommend Eastern
Ridge for your next hunt!
